Hull KR centre Oliver Gildart suffers Challenge Cup blow as he learns extent of knee injury

Hull KR centre Oliver Gildart is facing six weeks on the sidelines with the knee injury sustained last weekend.

The 27-year-old limped out of the warm-up ahead of the St Helens game and was replaced by Jack Broadbent who impressed in a 40-20 win.

Gildart has since learnt that he will miss several weeks, including next Saturday’s Challenge Cup semi-final against former club Wigan Warriors.

Hull KR can confirm Oliver Gildart sustained a knee injury during the warm up in last week’s win over St. Helens,” read a statement.

“The centre will require surgery and will miss approximately the next six weeks. Everyone wishes Oliver a speedy recovery.”
