Hull City

Callum Elder is back for Hull after missing the past few weeks through injury. Interim boss Andy Dawson has confirmed in his pre-Boro press conference that the Australian left-back is available to play again now.

Right-back Josh Emmanuel, who is yet to feature this season, returned for the U23s yesterday against Burnley. The Tigers ran out 4-0 winners against the Clarets and the ex-Bolton Wanderers man got some valuable minutes under his belt.

Huddersfield Town

Sunderland boss Tony Mowbray is expecting a tough game against Huddersfield. He has delivered his verdict on them to the Black Cats’ official website: “Huddersfield are a pretty experienced team in the division. They made the play-offs last year and the manager left. We have to be respectful of all the teams in this division. You have to look at Luton at the weekend. They have been there for four or five years and they are building into the Championship.

“Huddersfield have got good enough quality players to make the play-offs last year. I know they’ve had a difficult start to the season with a temporary manager. With a new manager now, he’ll be embedding his own ideas so we have to try and impose our style on them.”

The Terriers will be without Sorba Thomas tomorrow. He has picked up five yellow cards in this campaign and will have to sit out for a game.
