Black Business Expo organisers announce Chase star Shaun Wallace as keynote speaker for Huddersfield event

The Chase star Shaun Wallace will be the keynote speaker at the Black Business expo 2023 being held in Huddersfield this summer.

The event is taking place on July 9 at the John Smiths Stadium between 10am and 5pm.

Hundreds of people are expected to attend the free event, which has partnerships with Lloyds Bank and Google Digital Garage.

The event is hosted by the Black Business Support Agency Community Interest Company.

A spokesperson said: “BBSA are a group of men from diverse backgrounds/professions who came together in March 2018 to formulate a business and support a community enterprise.

"Our main aim is to establish the ‘Expo’ as a driver for innovative ideas, collaboration, providing value to the community of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and surrounding areas.

"This holistic experience will include exhibitor stalls, interactive panel session, keynote speakers/guidance on business growth, financial support, social media strategies, managing budgets, business mentoring, digital marketing and building your personal brand online.

"The BBSA team aspire to inspire others by staying positive and encouraging a ‘Talk IT, Walk IT, Manifest IT’ approach.”

The spokesperson added: “At a time where research identifies inequalities for Black businesses and entrepreneurs, BBSA aims to build confidence, market local/regional businesses and assist with networking with potential business partners, building brand recognition and creating a forum for businesses to connect.

"The event also aims to empower young black entrepreneurs, create a positive culture, inspire others, make a difference and change negative mindsets.”
