A Yorkshire-based life sciences business has secured a deal which will allow it to sell a range of weight management products direct to Chinese consumers.

OptiBiotix Health has announced the opening of an online shop on Tmall.com for its Go-Figure products. It has also launched GoFigure shakes containing the patented weight management aid SlimBiome on Tmall China.

Tmall is a cross-border marketplace for foreign brands and merchants to sell directly to Chinese consumers. By selling on Tmall, brands and merchants no longer require a legal entity in China nor hold stock in the country.

OptiBiotix has joined forces with certified Tmall Partner, Agency InReady, to build, promote and operate its Tmall store “as this requires a specialised and dedicated cross-functional team with a proven track record”.

GoFigure is OptiBiotix’s direct-to-consumer (D2C) range of weight management products formulated with the core ingredient SlimBiome. The GoFigure range consists of powdered meal replacement and beverage products, such as shakes and smoothies and healthy snacking. GoFigure is also available as private label range.

In a statement OptiBiotix Health, said: “SlimBiome is a patented prebiotic weight management aid used by itself or in formulated products in the health and wellness, sports nutrition and weight management categories.
