When he spotted a “for sale” sign on a detached, family-size house in a sought-after area of Ilkley while out cycling, he stopped to get a closer look.
He declared the position perfect and after viewing the property with his wife, Rena, they cooked up a plan to make it their own.

“The location is really good. It’s on a private road that is effectively a cul-de-sac,” says Rena. “You turn left out of the house and you can walk into town in 12 minutes and turn right and you are in countryside.”

“Harrogate is where Rena and I met and had our first restaurant and we have happy memories of the town.”
