2012 Jane Tomlinson Walk For All: Key role for small army of helpers
Among the unpaid group of helpers was Charlie Tatman, 30, from Halton Moor, Leeds.
He acted as a “roaming marshall” on his lightweight mountain bike which enabled him to keep tabs on walkers doing the 26 miles. He was unfazed by the poor weather, having seen far worse at the Peak District Walk for All in April.

Steven Tomlinson, the 15-year-old son of Mike Tomlinson, one of the chief organisers, also did his bit yesterday, taking over the microphone at the finishing point and keeping the crowds amused with his wit and wisdom.
Steven congratulated the finishers and shared a joke with them.
His grandmother, Alice Tomlinson, looked on proudly as the banter flowed.
