Bin collection survey ending soon

PEOPLE in Sheffield now have their last chance to take part in a public consultation on the future of waste collections in the city.

The four-week consultation period ends at midnight on Sunday.

The aim of the exercise is to gather people’s views on controversial issues such as the frequency of waste collections and how people currently use the city’s black bin and recycling collection services.

Coun Leigh Bramall, Sheffield Council’s cabinet member for environment and transport, said: “Many people have already sent in their opinions on the household waste collections, but we want to make sure that everyone who has a view on something that affects their daily lives has a chance to have their say.”

All responses received will form part of the current review of waste collection services.

The consultation document and questionnaire is available to view at www.sheffield.gov.uk/wastesurvey and hard copies are also available from venues including First Point offices, housing offices and libraries.

At the end of the consultation period, the feedback will be collated into a report for consideration at a board meeting in November.
