Boy, 11, in court for threatening teacher with knife at Knaresborough school

AN ELEVEN-year-old boy has appeared in court in Harrogate today accused of threatening a teacher with a knife.

The youngster who cannot be named for legal reason was charged with threatening a teacher at King James’s School in Knaresborough with a folding knife on Friday March 6.

He appeared before magistrates at a Youth Court hearing in Harrogate this morning.

The case has been adjourned until April 29 while the Youth Justice Service prepare reports.

As part of his bail conditions he is not allowed to contact the teacher.
