Breaking mad: Bungling drug dealer overcome by fumes as he cooks crystal meth in Wakefield kitchen
Lee Clark, 42, was jailed for 18 months after officers found him overpowered by the huge clouds of white smoke billowing from his property.
Leeds Crown Court heard Clark’s flat was filled with items often used for the ‘Shake and Bake’ method of producing Class A drugs - including sulphuric acid, batteries, bottles, drain cleaner, tablets, face masks and rubber gloves.

Hide AdProsecutor Mehran Nassiri said: “One of the men had claimed that they had been trying to make ‘Bubble Hash’ - but it was clear that attempts were being made to produce methamphetamine.
“Had he been successful, he would have produced five grammes.
“Clearly he wasn’t and it seems that everything went wrong.”
When officers searched the rest of the property they also found bags of amphetamine worth #7,600.
