Man dies after car crashed into Halifax Bank in Yorkshire

A man has died after a car crashed into a Halifax Bank in Yorkshire.

A grey Audi Q3 crashed into the Halifax Bank, in Market Street, Halifax, at 5.50pm on Wednesday, February 22.

The driver, a 72-year-old man, was taken to hospital.

He died a short time later.

West Yorkshire Police said enquiries are ongoing, but that early indications suggest the vehicle rolled into the building.

The force is asking any witnesses to contact them quoting log reference is 1342 of 22 February.

The bank remains shut today.
