New post for cleric who quit over protesters
Dr Giles Fraser will be parish priest of inner city St Mary, Newington, in south London, he announced on Twitter. He added that he would be writing about his new post and charting inner city life regularly in the Guardian.
Dr Fraser, 47, quit St Paul’s in October rather than see the Occupy London protest evicted by force. The camp was finally removed at the end of February after legal action by the City of London Corporation.
