Plant machinery has been stolen from an industrial estate in Thirsk.

The mini excavator was stolen from Thirsk Industrial Park on York Road between 3.30pm and 5.30pm on Sunday.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said the crime involved a white long wheel based van and two men, one dressed in all black clothing and white footwear and the second dressed in a light grey hoody, dark bottoms and white footwear.

Investigations are on-going and in particular police are appealing for information about any suspicious activity on York Road or Sutton Road, Thirsk at around 3.30pm or if anyone saw a white van parked in the lay-by on Sutton Road.
