Two people killed on roads in two days as police in Humberside and North Yorkshire appeal for witnesses
Officers are appealing over the crashes in Riccall, near Selby, on Monday afternoon and in Crowle, North Lincolnshire, yesterday evening (Tuesday).
A 25-year-old male pedestrian was killed after being hit by a white Vauxhall van on the A19 near to the village of Riccall just before 2pm on Monday.
The man, from York, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Hide AdNorth Yorkshire Police said they were appealing for anyone with information about the crash.
In a separate collision, Humberside Police officers were called to the A18 near Crowle crossroads shortly before 11.40pm last night following reports a silver Subaru Forester Sport had veered off the eastbound carriage and ended in a ditch.
A man, whose age police have not disclosed, was pronounced dead at the scene and a second man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. He remained in custody today assisting police with enquiries.
The family of the man who died have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers.

Hide AdHumberside Police said officers were particularly keen to hear from any witnesses of a silver-coloured vehicle that may have been travelling in the area at the time.
Any witnesses to either collision is urged to contact the respective police forces or Crimestoppers anonymously.
