Hide AdProsecuting Mark McKone told York Crown Court that he had topped 110mph on the A1 before overtaking a line of traffic on the York outer ring road and driving on the wrong side of the road.
During the chase, Cross threw ecstasy worth more than £2,000 in street deals out of the car window but still had 68.5 tablets on him when he was arrested.
Altogether, the Class A drug was worth nearly £2,400 and Cross also had £696 in cash when he was arrested which was confiscated by the court.
Cross was on parole at the time of the offence having been released partway through a seven year sentence for a gang attack that left a man with a fractured cheekbone.

Hide AdJudge Guy Kearl QC said he could have killed someone by his “extensive piece of dangerous driving” and sentenced him to three and a half years.
Mitigating, Holly Betke, said he had had a series of difficulties in his private life which he dealt with by taking drugs instead of seeking help.
She said: “These appear to have been offences motivated by personal trauma rather than any anti-social behaviour.”
York Crown Court heard that Cross had been on his way home with his girlfriend after a night out when he realised the police were interested in him, so he tried to speed away from them because of the drugs in his car.
In addition to a three and a half year prison sentence, Cross was also banned from driving for two years and ordered to retake his driving test.
