Father found dead after fire in flat
A TROUBLED father-of-two was found dead in his flat after he set fire to a settee.
Unemployed textile worker Grephan Masih, 31, was found by neighbours at his home in Shearing Cross Gardens, Hillhouse, Huddersfield, in March last year.
He had poured petrol over a settee and set it alight.
Yesterday an inquest in Huddersfield heard that Mr Masih had a history of drug abuse and was getting help from several agencies. His family claimed more should have been done and that he was mentally ill.
Coroner Roger Whittaker recorded a verdict that Mr Masih had taken his own life when the balance of his mind was disturbed.
