Man dies after being found in street

A 56-year-old man has died in hospital this morning after being found face down with serious facial injuries under the A180 Cleethorpe Road flyover, in Grimsby.

Police and the ambulance service were called at 7.47am after a passer-by saw the man near Prince Albert Gardens and King Edward Street.

The scene was initially cordoned off and the 56-year-old man was taken to hospital in Grimsby where he died a short time later.

The man is believed to have had a medical episode which resulted in him falling and sustaining his injuries and the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
