Labour’s VAT plans for public schools is another tax for the poorest in society - Yorkshire Post Letters

From: Christopher Clapham, Shipley.

The Labour Party have told us they will, if elected, make public schools pay VAT (to you and me a tax on education). They have always been against public schools, while sending their own children, wanting to deny those whose families in many cases have had to work hard to give their children the best start in life.

I have read of at least two schools that are going to close, making teachers redundant and children with no School to be educated at.

It will cost millions of pounds to build new schools in the state sector along with millions more to pay for the education.

The unused money from those who go private obviously goes towards the less well off and their education. So when it comes to Education under Labour the poorest in society will be clobbered again while the rest of us get a large tax bill to pay for mess.

So start saving just in case they get elected.
