Budget: Two housing zones in Yorkshire backed
TWO housing zones will be created in Yorkshire in an effort to accelerate the building of thousands of homes, it was announced in the Budget.
One of the zones will cover an area around the Aire River in West Yorkshire which it is estimated could accommodate 4,500 homes.
A second zone has been earmarked for the York Central site, considered one of the most significant development sites in the region.
