Two in court charged with Leeds woodland murder
Trevor Isles, 48, and Dennis Wilson, 36, are accused of kidnapping and murdering 31-year-old Colin Pierre. Yesterday’s court appearance came as police continued to ask for information on the whereabouts of Anthony Micah Pyke, who is wanted in connection with Mr Pierre’s death. An appeal for help in tracing Pyke was due to feature on the BBC’s Crimewatch programme tonight. The body of Mr Pierre, who was from Gipton, Leeds, was discovered by schoolchildren in the city’s Gledhow Valley Woods shortly after 8am last Tuesday, March 11.
Isles and Wilson, of Highfield Green, Pudsey, also face a further charge of kidnapping another man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, during the same incident. Both men spoke only to confirm their names during yesterday’s short court hearing. Richard Wright, prosecuting, said there was considerable telephone, CCTV and scientific evidence in the case which still had to be considered.
