It's official: Marcelo Bielsa signs new leeds United contract
The Argentinian coach has signed a new one-year contract to extend his stay at the newly-promoted Premier League club.
After a summer of anxiously waiting for confirmation despite the club always keen to give the impression it was a foregone conclusion, Bielsa broke ranks at his press conference to preview Saturday's trip to Liverpool by saying: “I will be working at Leeds United next season.”

Assuming the unpredictable Bielsa sees this deal out, it will be the first time he has completed three seasons with a club side, although he did have longer stints managing Chile and Argentina.
Leeds were a mid-table Championship side when he took over in 2018 and transformed their style of play. They were defeat in the 2018-19 play-offs, but impressively won last season's title. He has been in charge of 100 matches, winning 56 and losing 27.
His failure to sign a contract until now has not affected Bielsa's commitment to the cause. He has not taken a holiday since last season, saying: “I've been working at 100 per cent since the promotion celebrations were finished.”
Bielsa is Leeds's longest-serving manager since Simon Grayson, who was in charge from December 2008 to February 2012.
