Schofield: Made a couple of key first-half saves at key junctures to deny Garner and Gray and was alert to thwart the latter in the second half. 8

Pipa: Set the tone with a glorious slaloming run early on. Another good performance on home soil. 7

Edmonds-Green: Kept Gray quiet enough with a disciplined, controlled display. Coming along nicely. 7

N Sarr: Assigned with leadership in the backline and did not disappoint. 7

Toffolo: Up against two forces down Watford's right in Ismaila Sarr and Jeremy Ngakia, but the Town defender is not someone who is easily cowed. Typically tenacious and all-action. 7

Hogg: The heartbeat as per usual and performed the bits and pieces role adeptly, as always, Selfless and strong. 8

O'Brien: Posed Watford problems with his spurts of energy and typically dynamic. 8

Eiting: Produced some clever moments and is a midfielder with guile. 7

Bacuna: Got through plenty of work, even if everything did not come off. Saw a first-half shot blocked. Did a sound job for the team, including defensively. 8

Mbenza: Unhinged Watford with his pace, spirit and endeavour, epitomised with his charge-down on Foster to gift Town's first. Enjoying his football and becoming a real team player. 8

Campbell: Opened it up for Town and produced a performance of authority and appetite. His first-half pass to set up a chance for Mbenza was sublime. 8
