HERE are the Hull City player ratings from Saturday afternoon's League One home encounter with Gillingham at the KCOM Stadium.

Ingram: Had to stay alert with Gillingham posing a threat aerially from set plays. Left exposed for the leveller. 6

Coyle: A driving force and outlet down the right and looked confident and composed. 7

A Jones: Had to front up with Oliver and Akinde providing a physical examination. He and Greaves will not have been happy with the concession. Stretchered off late on. 6

Greaves: Booked for catching Akinde and was slightly unfortunate. Calm enough on the ball. Spurned a golden chance to seal victory just before the hour. 6

Elder: Not vintage Elder, but he provided some threat with that sweet left foot of his all the same. 6

Honeyman: A fine driving run set up a good first-half chance for Eaves and his quick-thinking picked out Doherty before the break. Moments of quality and did as much as anyone for Hull and was a constant supply line. 8

Docherty: Should have done better just before the break. Sprayed some nice balls to the flanks and was involved a fair bit. 7

Slater: Took his chance and had a pretty strong game. Satisfying afternoon's work. 7

Wilks: Set up the opener and looked a danger when the ball was at his feet. Makes things happen and worked hard without the ball. 7

Eaves: His first goal since December 2 crowned an excellent first half. Had other chances to add to his tally on the day 7

Lewis-Potter: Showed some neat touches, but was not quite on his A-game. 6

Substitutes: Scott (Eaves 79), 6.

McLoughlin (A Jones 90).

Not used: Long, Emmanuel, C Jones, Salam.
