Shackell leaves Barnsley as Peltier heads for Huddersfield exit door
The 27-year-old made it clear to the club he wanted to leave the Tykes this summer and he has now signed a three-year deal at Pride Park.
Rams manager Nigel Clough said: “Jason brings leadership and experience qualities to Derby County and it is a tremendous signing for us.

“He’s in the prime of his career and was Barnsley’s standout player last season, as well as being one of the most impressive defenders in the Championship. Having watched him a lot last season it’s clear he’s a player who lives to defend.”
Town have accepted a bid of around £1m for Peltier from Leicester.
The 24-year-old’s future at the Galpharm Stadium had been uncertain since Lee Clark brought in right-back Calum Woods from Dunfermline Athletic at the start of the summer.

Chairman Dean Hoyle said: “Of course we are disappointed to lose Lee but Leicester matched our valuation. As one player departs, it creates opportunities for others to shine.”
Wolves have completed the £5m permanent signing of Jamie O’Hara from Tottenham.
