Tony Pulis confirmed as Sheffield Wednesday manager
The Welshman, whose last managerial position was at Middlesbrough, who he left by mutual consent in the summer of 2019, is expected be assisted by long-time number two David Kemp, who has worked with him at a number of previous clubs.
Pulis becomes the Owls' ninth appointment in the past decade and succeeds Garry Monk for the second consecutive time, having replaced him at Boro in December 2017.

Hide AdAfter two days of discussions, the final details were agreed today with Pulis, whose first game in charge is next Saturday's trip to Preston North End.
The vastly-experienced 62-year-old boasts a long career in management, which started at Bournemouth in 1992.
Pulis has also managed Gillingham, Bristol City, Portsmouth, Plymouth, Crystal Palace, West Brom and Boro alongside two separate spells at Stoke City.
Newport-born Pulis, who has never been relegated at a club in his managerial career, takes over a Wednesday side who are currently only off the bottom of the Championship on goal difference.

The Owls won three times in 11 league games in 2020-21 under Monk, whose side had won just twice at home since last Christmas.
