Supercomputer predicts Championship table with Sheffield United and Hull City shocks & Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday twists

Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United are among the clubs who will be hoping for Championship success next season.

The 2024/25 campaign is edging closer and promises to be yet another thrilling one. The second tier rarely fails to excite and is renowned across the globe for its unpredictable nature.

In Yorkshire, Leeds will be hoping to avoid the stress of the play-offs and clinch automatic promotion after their Wembley heartbreak. Sheffield United, meanwhile, will be hoping to bounce back following their relegation from the Premier League.

Sheffield Wednesday spent the entirety of the 2023/24 season battling relegation, eventually avoiding the drop on the final day of the season. Under highly-rated manager Danny Rohl, the Owls will be fancied by many as promotion dark horses.

Over at Hull City, a new era is being ushered in following a change in the dugout. Liam Rosenior was axed after the Tigers missed out on the play-offs and replaced by Tim Walter. Much like Michael Carrick’s Middlesbrough, they will be hoping to challenge near the top when the new season begins.

Fixture release day makes it all feel very real as the beginning of a new season approaches and predictions are thrown around regularly at this time of year. Here is how the Grosvenor Sport supercomputer expects the campaign to play out.
