Rugby League World Cup: The fixtures being hosted by Yorkshire's nine venues and how to get tickets

The Rugby League World Cup kicks off in Newcastle on Saturday as England take on Samoa – but Yorkshire will see plenty of action with nine venues in the White Rose County playing host.

Here we run through the games being played in Yorkshire and how to get your hands on tickets…

Doncaster

The Keepmoat Stadium will hold two of Greece men’s fixtures, as they take on France on October 17 and Samoa on October 23.

Papua New Guinea men then face Wales on October 31. Doncaster will be the team base for Samoa men’s team.

Hull

The MKM Stadium, home of Hull City and Hull FC, will host two men’s games, including a quarter-final, and a women's group game.

New Zealand men face Jamaica on October 22 before a double header on November 5, starting with Papua New Guinea women against Brazil followed by a men’s quarter final that evening.

The city will also be the team base for Fiji men.

Huddersfield

The John Smith’s Stadium has been selected for one game, with the home of Huddersfield Town and Huddersfield Giants to host a men’s quarter final on November 4.

The home of Leeds Rhinos will host three men’s games and four women’s games. The men’s games will be Australia v Fiji on October 15, Jamaica v Ireland on October 16 and New Zealand v Ireland on October 28.

It will host two double headers from the women’s group containing Canada, England, Brazil and Papua New Guinea on November 1 and November 9.

The city will be the base of Jamaica and Ireland men and the women’s teams from England, Papua New Guinea, Brazil and Canada.

Leeds (Elland Road)

Leeds United’s home ground will host a men’s semi-final on November 11.

Sheffield (Bramall Lane)

England men’s meeting with Greece on October 29 will be played at Bramall Lane. The city of Sheffield will be the base for Greece as well as the wheelchair sides from France, Wales, Scotland and USA.

Sheffield (English Institute of Sport)

The venue will host three double headers on November 4, November 7 and November 10 as it holds all the group matches between France, USA, Scotland and Wales. It will also host both semi-finals of the wheelchair tournament.

Middlesbrough

The Riverside Stadium will host Tonga’s men against Cook Island on October 30 and will be the base for the Cook Island men.

York

The LNER Community Stadium will host every women’s group game between Australia, New Zealand, France and Cook Islands. All will be double headers on November 2, November 6 and November 10.

York will also hold both women’s semi-finals on November 14.

The city will be the team base for New Zealand men’s team and the Australia, New Zealand, France, Cook Islands women’s sides.

How to get tickets

Tickets can be purchased through the Rugby League World Cup ticketing portal – which can be accessed HERE.

Where are the finals being held?

The finals for the men’s and women’s tournaments will both be at Old Trafford on November 19. The wheelchair final will be in Manchester Central on November 18.
