Sheffield Eagles 24 Whitehaven 26 - Worrincy's hat-trick fails to save Eagles

Rob Worrincy's hat-trick of tries was not enough to save Sheffield Eagles from defeat at home to Whitehaven.

Worrincy went over twice either side of Craig Calvert’s try but the Whitehaven winger added his second to level the scores before Elliot Miller edged Haven 12-8 ahead just before half-time.

Scott McAvoy and Miller crossed to put the visitors in control but after Liam Carberry had cancelled out Michael Knowles’s try, Worrincy completed his hat-trick and Mark Mexico scored four minutes from time.
