Incredible '˜moonbow' photographed over Yorkshire hills
THE incredible and rare natural phenomenon of a moonbow has been photographed during the unseasonably warm Yorkshire autumn weather.
Photographer Ben Gwynne sent us these beautiful stills of the arch in the sky, taken at dusk on Sunday, on the moors between Skipton and Keighley.
He said: “I have personally never seen a rainbow at night, never mind photographed one.”

Hide AdMoonbows, or lunar rainbows, occur when the moon’s light is reflected and refracted off water droplets in the air.
Similar to rainbows, they are created by moonlight instead of direct sunlight.
